The Basic 5 Day CQB module aims to train, support and influence candidates up to Individual live fire and movement and will cover the following training:

Situational Awareness

Situational Awareness (SA) training and exercising has been built into the course to reflect the potential threat that candidates may well approach in the Operational environment. GTS will replicate this Operational environment through a sequence of realistic training conditions to enhance reaction, response and the decision making processes. The use of Reduced Energy Marking Ammunition (REMA) and other technical equipment allows the conditions to conduct quality and realistic high tempo training.

Medical

Baseline Close Protection Medic (B-CPM)

Provided over a total of 7 hours, the Baseline Tactical Medical Module aims to give the student a sound introduction to the principles of tactical medical support with a focus on ballistic trauma management. It also includes training in basic life support including defibrillator use, and the use oxygen. The module is tailored to the tactical environment but can be flexed to suit the particular needs of any given client. Instructors are clinically current UK State Registered Paramedics with extensive experience in the delivery of pre-hospital emergency care, and medical training.
