Intermediate CQB Module

The intermediate 5 Day CQB Module aims to train support and influence candidates up to 4 man fire and movement. It will cover the same subject matter as the basic module as revision with the following Training Objectives:

Pistol/Rifle

  • Instinctive shooting
  • Firing from inside vehicles
  • Day/night pairs fire and movement
  • Day/night 4 man fire and movement
  • Fire and movement including a client and casualties
  • Use of different weapons and pyrotechnics

Situational Awareness

Situational Awareness (SA) training and exercising has been built into the course to reflect the potential threat that candidates may well approach in the Operational environment. GTS will replicate this Operational environment through a sequence of realistic training conditions to enhance reaction, response and the decision making processes. The use of Reduced Energy Marking Ammunition (REMA) and other technical equipment allows the conditions to conduct quality and realistic high tempo training.

Medical

Intermediate Close Protection Medic (I-CPM)

The Intermediate Tactical Medical Support Module is designed for those who have completed the baseline course and wish to build on the skills already acquired. The course includes an overall 'refresher' on tactical medical support followed by in-depth training on catastrophic haemorrhage from penetrating trauma (with the use of novel haemostatic agents), blast injury and more specialist subjects such as the management of vehicle accidents and extrication. The course will have substantial practical elements giving the customer the opportunity to develop skills in a rich learning environment..
