CQB Modules

Advanced CQB Module

The advanced 5 Day CQB Module aims to train support and influence the candidate to an extremely high level of competence with firearms up to multi vehicle/team fire and movement and will progress on the Basic and the Intermediate Modules. In addition to revising the previous course subject matter, candidates will be instructed and trained in the following Objectives:

Weapons

  • Multi vehicle/team fire and movement
  • Multi client scenarios
  • Use of support weapons
  • Advance to contact
  • Basic room combat and operator recovery
  • Use of Night vision aids (NVA).

Situational Awareness

Situational Awareness (SA) training and exercising has been built into the course to reflect the potential threat that candidates may well approach in the Operational environment. GTS will replicate this Operational environment through a sequence of realistic training conditions to enhance reaction, response and the decision making processes. The use of Reduced Energy Marking Ammunition (REMA) and other technical equipment allows the conditions to conduct quality and realistic high tempo training.

Medical Module

Advanced Close Protection Medic (A-CPM)

Consolidating knowledge and skills gained from the baseline and intermediate courses, the Advanced Tactical Medical Support Module introduces advanced concepts such as supra-glottic airway insertion. The course also provides insights into major incident (mass casualty) management, paediatric emergencies and the provision of tactical care at a chemical incident. Like the previous courses, there is plenty of scope for hands-on practice and constructive feedback from the instructors, making the course engaging, educationally stimulating and highly rewarding.

In all these courses, expert instructors will allow customers to expand their knowledge at an optimal rate, adapting lessons to the customer’s specific working environment and maximising the learning opportunity available.
