  1. Eligibility

    1.1 Admission onto training courses is at the discretion of Global Training Solutions (GTS). GTS reserve the right to refuse an application and eligibility will be decided on receipt of an enquiry form.

    1.2 Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Records Check (CRB) prior to start date of course. A copy of your passport, birth certificate or driving licence, utility bill or bank statement and a copy of your NI number are required with enquiry form. GTS reserves the right to refuse an application should a candidate fail the CRB check.

    1.3 Candidates are required to complete a health questionnaire and it is the candidates' responsibility to disclose any medical conditions prior to commencement of course. Admission onto the course may be denied should GTS feel the health of the applicant would be put at risk.

  2. Payment Terms

    2.1 Candidates are required to pay an initial deposit of 50% of the course fee, which must be sent with the booking form. The deposit is non refundable. The balance must be paid no later than 28 days prior to commencement date of course. Where a booking is made 28 days within commencement date, payment in full is required. Cheques must clear prior to the start date of course. Your booking will be confirmed once payment is received. If payment is not received before the start date, we will refuse admission onto the course.

    2.2 Course fees may be subject to change.

  3. Payment

    Cheques are to be made payable to Global Training Solutions Ltd. Payment can be made by bank transfer, by cheque, and also by credit card.

  4. Refunds

    4.1 GTS does not provide refunds for cancellations. Cancellations must be in writing and if received more than 14 days prior to start date you have the option to transfer to another GTS course at a later date. For cancellations received up to 14 days or less to start date of course, no refunds will be given and you cannot transfer onto another course. In the event that Global Training Solutions cancel a course, a full refund will be given.

    4.2 If a candidate is unable to attend or needs to leave a course early due to compassionate grounds or for other reasons beyond his/her control, we will offer the candidate the chance to join the course at a later date.

    4.3 We may cancel or re-schedule under-subscribed courses, in such circumstances a full refund or alternative dates will be offered.

    4.4 In the event a candidate fails a CRB check, deposit will be refunded minus £100 administration charge.

    4.5 In the event of unforeseen circumstances, ie. flights being cancelled etc. GTS will not be held responsible for loss of earnings or any other loss that may occur.

  5. Negligence

    It is the candidate's responsibility to look after/safe guard personal possessions etc, as GTS are not liable for any loss or damage.

  6. Conduct

    6.1 Illegal drugs and alcohol abuse are prohibited throughout the training week. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the course without a refund of the course fees. Expulsion is at the discretion of the Chief Instructor.

    6.2 Candidates receive an introduction on safety, rules and regulations; regular safety checks are practiced throughout the course. All candidates must agree to rules and regulations of the training ground/room and agree to respect the Chief Instructor's wishes. Safety is of paramount importance; therefore if the Chief Instructor deems that any candidate is unsafe on the range and a threat to him/herself and other candidates, they may be removed from the course without refund of course fees.

    6.3 Accommodation is included in the price of the course and appropriate conduct must be maintained at all times. Any breakages or damages to property, furniture or equipment etc. must be paid for in full by the candidate prior to leaving the course. Candidates must also pay for any phone calls and any other additional expenses not included in the course fees.

  7. Intellectual Property Rights

    All information and materials provided to candidates during the course belong to GTS. Candidates may retain information and materials for your reference unless GTS instructs otherwise. Candidates must not release information or materials to the media, copy or circulate them to other people.

Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

GTS accepts no responsibility for death, personal injury, damage to property or any other loss suffered by the candidate whilst participating on the course, unless, and only to the extent that, such death, personal injury, loss or damage is caused or contributed to by the negligence of GTS. Bookings are accepted on the condition and understanding that the candidate understands and accepts the risks and hazards involved in the course, including those arising from the use of weapons in live fire and role play modes, use of explosives, weapon retention drills, tactical scenarios involving movements on foot or in vehicles and other activities which form a necessary part of close protection training. The candidate acknowledges that such risks and hazards have been fully explained by GTS.

The candidate shall indemnify GTS against all liabilities, damages, costs and expenses awarded against or incurred by GTS arising from or in connection with the candidate's negligence, breach of GTS health and safety rules or failure to follow the instructions of the course leader.
